Sign of the Cross<\/strong><\/p>\n

Let us pray\u2026<\/p>\n

God, the Creator and preserver of the human race,
\nthe lover of holy purity, the giver of supernatural grace,
\nand the dispenser of everlasting salvation;
\nbless these lilies
\nwhich we, your humble servants, present to you today
\nas an act of thanksgiving and in honour of St. Anthony, your confessor,
\nand with a request for your blessing.
\nPour out on them,
\nby the saving sign of the holy cross, your dew from on high.
\nYou in your great kindness have given them to us,
\nand endowed them with a sweet fragrance to lighten the burden of the sick.
\nTherefore, let them be filled with such power that,
\nwhether they are used by the sick, or kept in homes or other places,
\nor devoutly carried on one’s person,
\nthey may serve to drive out evil spirits,
\nsafeguard holy chastity,
\nand turn away illness–all this through the prayers of St. Anthony\u2014
\nand finally impart to your servants grace and peace; through Christ our Lord.
\nAll: Amen.<\/p>\n
